Belfast International Airport is Northern Ireland's busiest airport and the primary hub for Ryanair's Northern Ireland operations. Located inland to the west of Belfast, it is less affected by coastal fog than other Northern Irish airports but is exposed to strong westerly winds crossing the Irish Sea, which can reduce arrival rates. The airport coordinates with Dublin Airport on ATC approach sequencing, meaning Dublin delays can affect Belfast traffic.
